Enchanted you say? Many years ago (more than 5) I went on a ride to Vashon
and towards the end of the ride I remember riding along some sun dappled treed roads that went on and on in a magic sort of way. I tried to go back to this "enchanted" way but I thought it was near Ellisport and couldn't find it. I posed a question to the Cascade Bicycle Club Discussion mailing list ...but got no response. I even tried to get highly detailed computer maps from my heavily computerized working geographical kin ..but no luck. A few months ago, I did Maury Island (an option which I usually avoid because it's hills keep me away from lunch) but lo and behold this "enchanted" way exists and is called SW Launa Beach Road. (Pick it up at the lighthouse.) Hopefully it's magic will continue but the monied ones are building along it! |
