I was going to entitle this "Vashon Redux" photo "Ode to the wake" but then how to relate a wake (some of you might have thought it was a funeral procession) to a bike ride. Uhmmm. Well the wake of the Foot Ferry from Seattle to Vashon is one of the joys of the bike ride for me (I like bike rides with Ferries!).

The foot ferries are catarmarans and this causes the wake which in it's passing is the visualization of the perpetual energy of life and creation. Wheww pretty heavy when it's a 25 minute boat ride with enough noise and smoke to make the trip almost unpleasant. I guess you'll have to go and see for yourself. Fellow wake addicts can be seen on the stern.
