Tacoma Narrows Bridge three ferry ride[45 Miles, 2500 feet total elevation gain] Map (68Kb)As some of you might know Bill and Erin have moved (to New Orleans) and haven't led this ride in recent years. However there's good news because in October '99 this ride (which is actually Bob Teagardin's route from the 70's) will be held at a moderate pace on October 23, 1999... Take a look at the CBC listing). This ride was usually held in August as Bill Laine's birthday present to his wife Erin. I like this ride not only for the Ferry rides and the folks that go on it, but it turns Vashon (always a challenge on the firsthill from the Seattle side) into more of a pleasure when it is reached from the Tacoma side which is still a hill but a bit calmer (less steep) than the Seattle hill.
